Hypos – Hybrid Positioning Service

This innovation project is working for a national hybrid positioning service for the future digital and autonomous society. Hypos is a collaboration between the Norwegian Mapping Authority, SINTEF, Telia and Ericsson – and is funded by the Research Council of Norway.

5G together with satellites and GNSS can result in better user experiences, and in the long term be a standalone source for positioning. The research project Hypos will investigate this in more detail.
